The mystery of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's death has deepened after a friend of hers was arrested on suspicion of abetting her suicide.
Sooraj Pancholi, reported to have been Khan's boyfriend, was arrested in Mumbai, according to the BBC.
The 25-year-old actress was found dead in her Mumbai apartment on June 4. A post-mortem examination revealed that Khan had killed herself, police said. Indian media later reported that Khan had left a five-page letter to Pancholi.
Pancholi, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was arrested following accusations of abuse by Khan's mother Rabiya Khan, police told the BBC.

The death of Khan sent shockwaves through the close-knit Bollywood community.
Khan was born in New York and grew up in London before moving to Mumbai. She made her acting debut starring opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd (No words), in which she played the role of a teenager in love with her friend's much older father.
