The body of missing Nigerian graduate of New Jersey University has been found in the Delaware River.
22-year-old Ukonne ‘Uyo’ Uyobong was believed to have drowned after jumping into the river without a life jacket while on a rafting trip near Lumberland, N.Y., officials said.
His body was found around 5:45pm on Friday 5 miles downstream from where he had made the fatal jump.

His death appeared to be an accidental drowning and an autopsy will be done soon, Hinkes said.

Earlier this week, friends and faculty at NJCU remembered Uyobong for his intellect and playfulness.

“He lit up every room he was in,” classmate Kaleema Lewis said.

Just weeks ago, he was among the graduates receiving their diplomas at the Class of 2014′s commencement ceremony at the Izod Center.

He had planned to visit his mother in Nigeria next month.
