A 65 year old man was almost lynched by angry youth after it was discovered that he impregnated his 17 year old daughter. The incident took place in Kalabari Beach in Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
The man who is also said to be an elder in a Pentecostal church has 11 children from his two late wives and is expecting another from his daughter.
Youths in the community dragged him from his house and beat him until a lawyer passing by prevailed on the youth not to take the case into his own hands.
The man confessed to sleeping with his daughter over 5 times until the pregnancy came about.
The girl who is a JSS student at St Michael’s Secondary School, Orsu-Obodo said her father tore her clothes and forced himself on her, threatening to deal with her if she told anyone.
She said once she noticed her period stopped, she reported to the father and he said they would sell the baby. A planned move she said she kicked against.
