DJ Macc is the youngest female DJ in Nigeria, you need to see her in action and you will agree with me that this young lady is really gifted.
We caught up with her in an interview as she shares her experience rocking in the men's world, because the DJ business in Nigeria is dominated by the male DJ
# You know the first time i saw you doing your thing, i was amazed. How do you feel being the youngest female DJ in Nigeria.
DJ MACC: I feel happy. Kind of surprised tho because I haven't seen a younger female DJ here in Nigeria so I stick to it. *laughs*
# Let’s get back a bit, when did this whole DJ thing start for you?
DJ MACC: It all began in May/31/2009.I jokingly told a friend that i would love to be a DJ, and he took it serious before i knew what was happening, he introduced me to a DJ and that is how it all started
# what does this whole DJ thing mean to you?
DJ MACC: You know Music helps people heal when they are hurt and puts smiles on peoples face so that means a lot to me because I contribute also in making people happy @events, in their cars and @their houses when they listen to my mix *wink*.
# The industry is dominated by male DJ , what kind of support do u get from them and how do you get along with the them
DJ MACC: Yes o it is really dominated by male, they are very interesting being those I met have encouraged me to continue which isn't bad but some hmmm abegii na lie its the other way round *lol* but I like the fact that females also are now into DJ'ing such as myself, DJ NANA *Da Diva*, DJ SHUGA etc all here in Nigeria.
# If you were asked to be in a platform with just one DJ of your choice, who would that be and why?
DJ MACC: It would be DJ HUMILITY, because of his simplicity and style
# Are your folks in support of what you do?
DJ MACC: Yes my parents are in support of what I do but I didn't tell them I wanted to be a DJ because three months after I started no one knew. *hahahaha*. But I later told them and Daddy n Mummy didn't like the idea of me staying out late. *wink*. But because I was with good people they had no choice to relax. So I say a big thank you to DJ TOY.
# Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
DJ MACC: I see myself going international I see myself owning a DJ school for young people. I see myself having my own family.
All this will happen by the grace of GOD Almighty. *Smiles*
# Amen i see it coming to pass because you are a hard working young lady
DJ MACC: *wink*
# what is the greatest challenge you have ever faced in your career
DJ MACC: The greatest challenge is not having a personal equipment and a manager. But one thing few young people fail to understand is we all have to start little by renting, take a loan but always pay back. Just because we don't own the things we need now doesn't mean we won't get them later.
# When you are not disc jockeying, what do you do?
DJ MACC: When I'm not DJ'ing I relax @home, play around with food *yes! I love eating* basically do something with my time.
# Really? then where is the food going to?
DJ MACC: *laughs*
# I know many people will like to know you better and if possible engage you how can your fans find you.
DJ MACC: First they should like my Fan Page on FB: MACCS ENTERTAINMENT.

# one word for the young ones out there who would love to take a bold step and pursue their dreams just has you have done
DJ MACC: My advice to young people is they should always be thankful to GOD, be humble, respectful, let go of pride because it won't take you anywhere. Etc. And every good thing God has planned for you will come.
